Welcome, fellow Soldier & Lady collectors!
I have been collecting biscuit and toffee tins for 25 years and used to pick up Quality Street tins at boot fairs for 50p a time. As time passed and Ebay became the dominant source for just about everything collectable, I realised that there were a great many different designs and that I wasn’t the only collector, as I started being outbid. Despite such interest, there appeared to be no catalogue or reference information available online, or any information about the designs or the artists who created them, so I have decided to create one myself.
It’s now January 2020, a year or so on from when I started the site. I am pleased to say that I’ve had a few contacts, but I have been very disappointed with the lack of interest shown by Nestle, all I received from the ‘archivist’ is a standard response. Never mind, I will keep going. I have about 20 new finds to add, and I’m sure there are still more to find.
